Although it is only right that we produce goods with as much consideration to the sustainability of the materials used, it is also important to consider the distances travelled by component products. This is why each Guardafui table is built using a majority of locally-sourced materials. The hand-poured aluminium stems, solid hardwood bases and cushioned fittings are all made within 40 miles of where Julian is based. I wanted to produce a real statement piece and I believe that whilst undeniably Brutalist in aesthetics, my Guardafui table also exudes quality, durability and elegance. A total of 12 of these tables comprises the Limited Edition Guardafui run. Each table is signed and numbered by XWELL on the underside. This piece is still under development.
